Picture Quality
Olympus' high-quality photos are known worldwide for their exceptionally vibrant, sharp and super-realistic photo image quality. This quality comes from the latest optical technologies such as the C-4000 ZOOM's superior Olympus all-glass 6.5mm-19.5mm f2.8-f11 lens (the equivalent of 32-96mm in 35mm photography), which is matched to a 4.0 Megapixel CCD. Six unique Scene Program modes optimize image quality by biasing exposure, tone and color to provide the best match for specific shooting situations, including everything from Landscape to Night Scene to Sports photography. The C-4000Z's Noise Reduction mode facilitates noise-free photos during long exposures.

Ease of Use
The C-4000 ZOOM is extremely easy to use. Standard Program Auto mode allows photographers to take flawless pictures in typical situations using basic point-and-shoot techniques. Users can easily access six different Scene Program Modes with the exclusive new "Virtual DialTM" feature, first seen on the Olympus D-550 ZOOM earlier this year. The "Virtual Dial" feature gives the shooter instant access to settings such as Portrait, Self Portrait, Landscape-Portrait, Landscape, Night Scene and Sports. Olympus' newly enhanced "My Mode" feature now offers 4 separate user-customizable settings for more creative options. The menu also features three Shortcut Buttons that save menu navigation time by letting the user assign the most frequently used menu categories to these three buttons.

For easy, software-free photo downloads, the C-4000 ZOOM features Olympus' USB Auto-Connect capabilities so images can be downloaded quickly and easily in all current Mac® and Windows® operating systems. Supplied CAMEDIA Master 4.0 software gives you everything you need edit, print and share your photos.

Style & Design
The newest addition to Olympus' C-Series, the C-4000 ZOOM's elegant, ergonomically designed body is comfortable, lightweight and easy to work with, even during extensive shooting sessions. It features a polished silver finish with metallic top and front covers for extra durability.
