SAN DIEGO, October 23, 2004 - In a move designed to further enhance its west coast presence and provide even better customer support, Olympus today opened a new San Diego regional office. The office will serve California and the Pacific states with sales, training, support and consulting for customers in the biomedical microscope and imaging fields.

"We are finding that more and more researchers want to bring Olympus into their labs," said George E. Steares, Group Vice President of the Olympus Scientific Equipment Group. "Being located centrally here is vitally important to this ongoing effort as we reach out to researchers in this part of the country. It also allows us to better serve our many clinical laboratory customers throughout the area."
