SonoSurgTM Ultrasonic Cutting and Coagulating System
SonoSurgTM is the only surgical ultrasonic cutting and coagulating system that is completely reusable and autoclavable, which means it can save a facility about $200 per procedure over disposable systems. Many SonoSurg probes are HF compatible, reducing the need to switch instruments during a procedure. While SonoSurg cuts and coagulates simultaneously, its automatic mist evacuation keeps the surgeon’s vision clear at all times. The system also offers a stand-by mode to reduce accidental output and a warning system to detect possible problems.
A new addition to the existing probe lineup is a curved scissor, for laparoscopic procedures.
Fact Sheet: October 2004
Compatible with the EndoALPHATM for Enhanced Efficiency
When SonoSurg is used with the EndoALPHATM Centralized O.R. Control System, functions can be controlled directly via touch or voice. SonoSurg is also compatible with electrocautery, enabling the surgeon to utilize ultrasonic and HF energy without removing the instrument. It is also the only ultrasonic cutting and coagulating system compatible with Intuitive Surgical’s daVinci® Surgical System.
360° Rotatable 5mm Scissors for Reduced Fatigue
SonoSurg’s scissors can be rotated 360° without rotating the wrist or switching hands so the cutting and coagulation can proceed more quickly and efficiently even in more intricate procedures.
Automatic Mist Evacuation Maintains Clear Monitor Image
Using an optional cable, SonoSurg can be connected to the UHI-2 and/or UHI-3 high flow insufflator, enabling automatic mist evacuation to maintain a clear image on the monitor at all times. Abdominal pressure is maintained with a powerful insufflation capability of up to 35 liters per minute.
