Olympus Offers Free BioScapes™ Posters with Microscope Info and Award-Winning Images
Melville, NY, February 28, 2005 - Leading microscope company Olympus today announced that it is offering colorful, free posters at no charge to the first 2,000 laboratories and individuals who request them. The posters depict some of the extraordinary images that earned prizes in the first annual Olympus International BioScapes™ digital imaging competition, and also contain helpful information for microscope users on how to handle many common microscope set-up and operational questions.
"We wanted these posters to be not only beautiful, but functional as well," said George Steares, Group Vice President of the Olympus Scientific Equipment Group. "So many labs find a need for routine, helpful information for incoming grad students and others. We are providing that, and inspirational images from the world of bioscience as well."
The Olympus BioScapes competition recognizes the finest images of life science specimens captured through light microscopes, using any magnification, any brand of equipment, and any combination of images, movies, or image sequences. "These fascinating shots tell important stories that shed light on the living universe around us," said Steares.
The brilliantly colored posters, which measure 22x28 inches, are available free of charge. To order a copy of the BioScapes poster, send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org or call 1-800-455-8236.
