OLYMPUS SUPPORTVISION™ Offers Real-Time Device Monitoring, Proactive Service, Automated Test Volume Reporting

Orlando, FL, July 26, 2005 - OLYMPUS SUPPORTVISION™, the Internet-based device management system for Olympus chemistry-immuno analyzers that allows real-time monitoring of instrument performance and proactive service intervention for enhanced customer support, will be shown at AACC booth # 901.

The OLYMPUS SUPPORTVISION system automatically and continuously monitors the vital signs of Olympus analyzers including the AU400e®, AU640e®, AU2700® and AU5400® systems. Remote monitoring combined with proactive service reduces downtime and emergency service visits, for consistent system operation. In addition, the system automatically reports test volume data for laboratories using the Olympus cost-per-reportable program.

The OLYMPUS SUPPORTVISION system ensures secure data transmission for complete confidentiality. It allows Olympus, whose instruments already have an industry reputation for excellent reliability and uptime, to provide even better customer service and support.
