Olympus Announces Compatibility of Flexible Endoscopes with Advanced Sterilization Products’ STERRAD® NX Sterilization System
Company Endorses Processing of 29 Olympus Small Diameter Flexible Endoscopes with STERRAD® NX Sterilization System
CENTER VALLEY, Pa., January 7, 2010–Olympus, a precision technology leader creating innovative opto-digital solutions in healthcare, life science and consumer electronics products, today announced the compatibility of 29 Olympus small diameter flexible endoscopes with the STERRAD® NX Sterilization System manufactured by Advanced Sterilization Products (ASP). This announcement follows more than a year of research and testing that resulted in the development of new endoscope materials having improved compatibility with STERRAD NX.
Olympus small diameter flexible endoscopes compatible with STERRAD NX can be identified by the presence of a white line on the control section. Any Olympus flexible endoscope without this identifying white line is not compatible.
Olympus endoscope models listed below with a white line present on the control section are materially and functionally compatible with the STERRAD NX Sterilization System:

The STERRAD NX Sterilization System
The STERRAD NX Sterilization System is the fastest low-temperature hydrogen peroxide gas plasma sterilizer yet. It has the ability to sterilize a wide range of instruments, including single-channel flexible endoscopes providing the flexibility of having sterile instruments ready whenever they are needed.
