NEW OLYMPUS DP-201 IS A HIGHLY-CONVENIENT, USER-FRIENDLY AUDIO DEVICE AT AN AFFORDABLE PRICE
The Olympus DP-201 is A Natural Fit for Analog Users
Looking to Convert to a Digital Recorder
CENTER VALLEY, PA., January 9, 2012 – Olympus, the market leader for portable digital voice recorders and professional dictation devices, has enhanced the established features of the DP Series - simplicity and style - with its latest digital audio recorder, the DP-201. Just like its predecessor, the Olympus DP-201 maintains the same sense of convenience and ease-of-use of analog recorders, but provides even more memory, enhanced battery life and a larger LCD screen.
”The Olympus DP-201 gives users who are more comfortable with a simple, easy-to-use, digital voice recorder the ability to record with ease, said Amy Leslie, Sr. Manager Marketing and Business Development, Olympus Imaging America Inc. “It keeps the simplicity and operability of an analog recorder but also adds the reliability and convenience of a digital one.
The Olympus DP-201 boasts a 1.7-inch LCD screen, allowing display content to be viewed easily, and the design incorporates large function buttons that make recording effortless.
Extended Recording, Powerful Battery Life, Simple Design
The Olympus DP-201 takes on a large increase in both recording time and battery life. With over 200 hours of recording time on 2GB of internal memory, users will have the ability to record everything they need with no fear of running out of space. The battery life is also increased to host a powerful 80 hours on two AAA batteries. The Calendar Search feature makes it simpler to find audio files by organizing them according to recording date.
Staying true to the simple design of the Olympus DP series, the Olympus DP-201’s “Play," “Stop” and “Record” buttons are easily accessible and color-coordinated for enhanced ease-of-use. The DP-201 enables fast and slow playback with the “Rewind” and “Fast-Forward” buttons and also has a clearly marked “Erase” button to prevent accidental data loss. The large front speaker and volume control allows the user to hear files during playback with ease. The Olympus DP-201 captures high-quality audio with the Noise Cancellation and Microphone Sense Setting. These two features allow background noises to be eliminated and stabilizes soft or loud sounds.
