Please note that if the firmware upgrade is not performed properly your camera will need to be serviced to have the camera returned to an operational state.
Please follow the steps carefully and do not attempt this if you are unsure of any steps, go to Service and Repair for info on sending your camera into our service facility.
It is strongly advised to have freshly charged batteries in the camera. We also recommend using your computer on a wired internet connection as opposed to a wireless connection. Ensure you reach the final step prior to removing your camera from the USB cable.
To upgrade your camera's firmware using OLYMPUS Master software, please connect the camera to a computer, launch the OLYMPUS Master software and follow the steps highlighted below.
STEP 1. Click on the Browse Images icon.
STEP 2. In the top navigation, select Online Services and choose Update Camera.
STEP 3. Highlight the area where the device is listed and choose Check for latest version.
STEP 4. Once the desired firmware update is listed, highlight it and click Update.
