What is the advantage of the C-211 Zoom compared to a standard Polaroid® instant camera?
There are a number of distinct advantages that a digital camera provides. The images can be manipulated (color, contrast, brightness), previewed before printing, cropped, stored for future reprints, used to make multiple prints of the same image, used to create index prints, and date/time stamped. This is also the first camera using Polaroid® instant film that has a zoom lens.
Is this camera manufactured by Olympus or Polaroid®?
The C-211 Zoom is manufactured by Olympus.
Where would I find paper for the C-211 Zoom?
The C-211 Zoom uses standardized Polaroid® Type 500™ instant film paper.
What is the cost per print?
Each print would cost less than $1.00. Since you only print out selected digital images, prints are not wasted getting the picture that you need. Polaroid® instant film comes in packages of 10 prints and typically costs less than $10.00.
How long does it take to print a picture?
The C-211 Zoom takes approximately 15 seconds to eject the print from the camera. The print will be viewable in 2 minutes and fully developed in 5 minutes.
What type of batteries does the camera require?
Olympus recommends the use of Nickel-Metal Hydride (Ni-MH) rechargeable batteries or Olympus CR-V3 (LB-01) long-life disposable lithium batteries. The batteries are only used to power the camera. The print engine in the C-211 Zoom is powered by a battery pack self-contained inside each Polaroid® Type 500 film pack.
