What size SmartMedia™ cards will work on theses cameras?

The D-400/450/460 and 490 Zoom can use a 2, 4, 8, 16 and 32 MB SmartMedia card. In addition, the D-450/460/490 Zoom can also use 64mb SmartMedia cards.

What type batteries does the camera use?

Four AA-size alkaline batteries, lithium batteries, and Nickel-Metal Hydride (Ni-MH) batteries can be used. The D-460/490 Zoom can also use two Olympus CR-V3 (LB-01) long-life lithium batteries. Olympus recommends the use of Ni-MH batteries or CR-V3 long-life lithium batteries (where applicable).

What is the battery life expectancy when using the Olympus Nickel Metal Hydride (Ni-MH)?

Olympus Ni-MH batteries will last approximately 60 to 80 images and can be recharged about 500 times. The Olympus CR-V3 long-life lithium batteries provide power up to 2 times that of Ni-MH batteries. The CR-V3 long-life lithium batteries are NOT rechargeable.

Can I download images on a computer equipped with a built-in Universal Serial Bus (USB) port?

Yes and no. Although you cannot directly attach the camera to a USB port, you can purchase an Olympus USB SmartMedia Reader that will facilitate the transfer of images via a USB port. What is the difference between the D-400 Zoom and the D-450 Zoom?

The D-450 Zoom is an improved version of the D-400 Zoom. Both models have the following features:

•3x optical zoom lens - 2x digital telephoto

•Automatic focus, metering, and white balance
•Built-in, pop-up electronic flash
•Real-image optical viewfinder
•LCD monitor

In addition, the D-450 Zoom has the following features:
