What are the main differences between the C-4000 Zoom and the C-4040 Zoom? The main differences between the C-4000 Zoom and the C-4040 Zoom is that the C-4000 Zoom added the following:
- Virtual Mode Dial for quick selection of 6 Scene Program modes and 4 custom "My Modes"
- Super Macro for extreme close-ups. You can photograph your subject as close as 0.8 inch.
- AF Area - allows you to select the area that you want to focus on; by changing the position of the AF Target Mark.
- PAL video output - now you can also view your images on a television overseas.
- This camera includes both NTSC and PAL video output options.
Selectable Language Menu - The menu can be viewed in four different languages (English, French, German and Spanish).
