Melville, NY - Olympus America Inc. is pleased to introduce the Accura Zoom 80S compact camera. Along with the versatility of a 38-80mm zoom lens, the Accura Zoom 80S showcases the new highly stylized design of the Olympus Accura Series, with a starry-metallic finish and slim, elegant lines. It also offers a full complement of features that add up to superior performance at an affordable price.
Simply Sleek
Stylish and portable, the Accura Zoom 80S is the right choice for nearly every occasion. Its outstanding cost performance reflects a very affordable price combined with a compact and lightweight design, a 38-80mm 2x-plus zoom lens and a number of functions.
Designed for high resolution and compact lines, a high-performance aspherical lens holds down the size of the lens group. With this miniaturization, the body is exceptionally slim with a depth of only 1.6 inches.
A sliding lens barrier enhances both convenience and style, while a starry-metallic finish adds to the good looks. There is also the convenience of four flash modes including Red-Eye Reducing and full-range Auto Macro for shooting images up to B5-size (7.2 x 10.1inches) from as close as 2 feet.
Main Features
Compact, Lightweight Design with a High-Performance 38-80mm Zoom Lens
Although it has a 38-80mm zoom lenswith magnification of more than 2xthe Accura Zoom 80S is compact and lightweight. A high-performance aspherical lens helps to minimize the size and weight of the lens groups without compromising the high resolution. The trim design measures only 4.6 (W) x 2.4 (H) inches, and weighs 6.9 ounces. The depth has been cut to only 1.6 inches.
Stylish and Contemporary Design
A sliding lens barrier adds to the function and style of the design. Along with the slim body, the starry-metallic finish highlights the camera's eye-catching looks and striking lines.
Versatile Flash Modes
Multi-function flash modes make it easy for anyone to take great flash photographs. There is also a Soft Flash system that automatically adjusts the intensity of the illumination according to the distance from the subject.
Auto
In low light, the flash fires automatically to ensure the illumination is appropriate.
Red-Eye Reducing
This mode reduces red-eye, a common problem with flash portraits taken in low light. When the shutter button is pressed, a series of pre-flashes is emitted before the main flash fires.
Flash Off
With the flash always off in this mode, it is suited to capturing the mood of the moment or occasions
Fill-in
The flash fires every time in this mode. It is especially helpful in eliminating unnatural shadows on a subject.
