Special Edition (SE) is an introductory package that features image acquisition, simple image processing, interactive (manual) measurements, and report and database integration. Although geared toward users who typically want to document what they see under the microscope, there is more to this package than meets the eye. SE includes software control of Olympus motorized microscopes. This package is available bundled with a camera, or unbundled for use with previously purchased cameras. SE is available as a stand-alone software package or bundled with the following cameras:
The Basic Edition builds upon the above features with additional functionality, including visualization tools for stacks and slices, Multi-color Fluorescence Information Processing (MFIP), Multiple Image Alignment (MIA), Extended Focal Imaging (EFI), macro-recording, and remote visualization of an image over the Internet via the NetCam interface.
In addition to all the features above, the Biological Suite offers automated particle analysis and stage navigation to acquire large overview images with a motorized stage.
The Analytical Suite is designed for users who want the same advanced functionality as in Biological Suite, but don't have a need for MFIP.
The Advanced Suite includes the Image Sequence Processing (ISP) module for multidimensional time-lapse, the Voxel Viewer for 3D rendering, Well Navigator for multi-well and array processing, and the Rapid Image Deconvolution (RIDE) module, which uses AutoQuant's no-neighbor, nearest neighbor, and inverse filter algorithms.
Other application modules can be added to increase the functionality of most of the packages.
