The expanded 3D Deconvolution module extends the base application's ability to remove out-of-focus information from 3D fluorescence data. The 3D Deconvolution module includes two algorithms:

Nearest Neighbours Deconvolution
A rapid way to deblur fluorescence data. The algorithm uses the plane above and below the plane of interest to compute and subtract the fraction of the data that is out-of-focus.

Specifications
Multiple processor optimization
Speed optimized
Programmable batch deconvolution

Constrained Iterative Deconvolution (CI)
A true image restoration tool. Slidebook's CI deconvolution can quantitatively reassign out-of-focus information in 3D data while improving both axial and lateral resolution.

Specifications
Noise smoothing
Edge padding
Individual channel programmability
PSF guide
PSF database
Uses calculated or measured PSFs
Speed optimized
Programmable batch deconvolution

Features
Can use either measured point spread functions (PSFs) or theoretical computed PSF's
PSF collection guide
PSF database
Appropriate PSF automatically selected from image metadata
Extensive selection of image processing filters and display tools
CI Decovolution includes extensive speed optimizations and can handle very large data sets (up to 350MB per wavelength for a system with 2 GB RAM)
