Intelligent Imaging Innovations and Olympus are proud to introduce SlideBook 4.2 Advanced Imaging Software. SlideBook 4.2 contains many significant new features that will reduce the time required to move from experiment to publication.

Slidebook 4.2 is a cross-platform digital imaging, processing and analysis software for advanced multi-dimensional immunofluorescence microscopy applications. Slidebook's unique software architecture is capable of 2D, 3D, 4D and 6D image acquisition. Morphometrics, time-lapse and an advanced statistics engine are included as standard. SlideBook 4.2 has been significantly enhanced with the addition of 3D and 4D Interactive Volume Rendering, asymmetrical time-lapse acquisition, basic particle-tracking capabilities, new graphing features and more. Optional modules are available for deconvolution, ratiometric-fluorimetry (FRET, pH, calcium), and TTL synchronization. Olympus also offers several pre-configured Application Systems to equip BX, BX2, IX and IX2 Olympus microscope frames.
Features & Benefits
For use with Olympus BX, BX2, IX, IX2, and Olympus Spinning Disk Confocal microscopes.
Controls all hardware types associated with digital microscopy to enable fully automated scope control including fluorescence shutters, filter wheels, rapid wavelength changers, X-Y stages, piezo-controlled Z-Axis systems and focus motors.
Native three-dimensional image software architecture allows user friendly viewing, manipulation and analysis of multidimensional and multi-channel data without the need for scripts or macros.
2D, 3D and 4D data capture (with up to 8 channels), visualization, segmentation (mask and sub-mask creation), and analysis tools.
Advanced 3D and 4D interactive rendering tools with dynamic lighting, fixed lighting, maximum-intensity projection and sum-intensity projection viewing options. Interactive 2D topographic intensity mapping.
Create object ID's and track objects by center of intensity, mean adjusted center of intensity or center of mass. Object ID's displayed in an image are linked to object statistics for easy referencing. Users can display object paths as a separate channel.
Streaming Capture Mode enables users to maximize the performance of Hamamatsu and Roper cameras when motorized device control is not required. Live Frame Averaging is also included.
Save and retrieve capture preferences for easy repetition of important and complex experiments. Saved Parameters include binning, capture type, channels, exposure times, camera intensification, gain settings, multipoint settings and capture preferences. Any number of experiments can be saved and loaded at a later date.
Full camera control for most scientific grade CCD cameras. Supports advanced camera functions such as on-line control of digitizer speed, gain, offset, intensification, sub-region readout and binning. Simultaneous camera control (up to 4 cameras).
Unique file system allows users to store related images as slides for rapid analysis and archive retrieval. Imaging parameters are automatically recorded and permanently stored with image data.
Morphometrics including intensity segmentation, 'Magic Tools' for local segmentation, volume, surface area, 3D distance (linear and non-linear).
No Neighbors Deconvolution, common filters, photobleach correction, flat field correction and custom convolution kernels.
Control and live feedback during image acquisition including:

- interactive graphing of wavelength intensities
- scroll through captured time-points during a live time-lapse capture sequence
- ratios
- calibrated ion concentrations for multiple ROIs
- capture pause
- interactive refocusing
- ROI adjustment
- event marking
Advanced statistics engine for data quantification
Montage creation
Multipoint 2D, 3D and time lapse
Supported imaging techniques include:

- Fluorescence
- Bright Field
- Dark Field
- Phase Contrast
- DIC (differential interference contrast)
- TIRF (total internal reflection microscopy)
- IRM (internal reflection microscopy)
