Nacho started his career with Olympus in 2001 as the Chief Executive Officer of the Iberia Region based in Barcelona, Spain. He later moved to Hamburg, Germany in 2007 to take on a role as the Managing Director of the Consumer Imaging Business for the Olympus Europa region.

In 2011, he moved to Center Valley, Pennsylvania to join Olympus Corporation of the Americas (OCA) and assumed the responsibility of President for its Consumer Imaging Business Division. In 2013, he was promoted to the role of President of OCA and in March 2015 was also appointed as its CEO; a role he continues to hold today overseeing the Company’s activities throughout North and South America. In 2020, he stepped down as President of OCA in order to take on a global leadership role as Chief Operating Officer of Olympus Corporation. He is also a member of OCA’s Board of Directors and of the Global Executive Committee of Olympus in Tokyo.

In addition to his Olympus responsibilities, Nacho serves on the Board of Directors of AdvaMed (Advanced Medical Technology Association) and on the Board of Directors of the US-Spain Chamber of Commerce. Prior to joining Olympus, Nacho held several positions in the IT and consumer electronics industries working for a variety of high-tech companies, including Sony and Techdata. He holds dual Master’s Degrees; one in Telecommunications and Electronic Engineering, and another in Business Administration.

Born in Spain, Nacho is married with two children and currently lives in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. In his personal time, he enjoys spending time with his family, playing tennis, hiking, running and cycling. He firmly believes in the motto, “Be persistent. Never give up and fight for what you believe is right.”

Mr. Yasuo Takeuchi began his career in 1980 at Olympus Optical Co. Ltd, now known as Olympus Corporation. Since joining the Company, he has held various roles in Corporate Planning, the Medical Business, the Life Science Business and the Corporate Executive Office, many of which included global responsibilities. He now serves as President and CEO for Olympus Corporation globally.

In 2009, Mr. Takeuchi was appointed the role of Executive Officer for Olympus Corporation, and later assumed various executive-level and global responsibilities including: Director of Olympus Corporation of Asia Pacific Limited; Chairman of Olympus Corporation of the Americas; Senior Executive Managing Officer of Olympus Corporation; and Director Member of the Board for Olympus Corporation. In 2013, he also assumed the position of Director of Olympus Europa Management SE. In April 2015, he assumed the role of Chief Financial Officer and Head of Corporate Management for Olympus Corporation.

In addition to his current roles as President and CEO of Olympus Corporation, Yas serves as the head of the Board of Directors for Olympus Corporation of the Americas.

Mr. Takeuchi graduated from Chuo University, Faculty of Commerce in Hachioji, Japan.

Mr. George Figueroa joined Olympus in 2013 supporting the Imaging Business Group. His areas of responsibility have extended to other areas of Olympus’ business including, Scientific Solutions, Latin America, and our Corporate Headquarters. George currently serves as the Corporate Vice President of Human Resources of all business groups in the U.S., Canada, and Latin America.

Prior to joining Olympus, George served as the Regional Human Resources Director, responsible for the Allentown, PA and Baltimore, MD areas for the Tribune Company. A native to the Lehigh Valley, PA area, George resides in the Bethlehem area with his family. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Administration from Muhlenberg College and his MBA with a concentration in Finance from DeSales University.

George is a pragmatic leader who believes in the adage that when life throws you a curve you should lean into it. In his free time, George enjoys reading, camping, golf and trying new foods.

Jorge M. Lopes

Jorge is currently President of Olympus Surgical Technologies America (OSTA). OSTA is a division of Olympus, a $7.5B global technology leader focused on enhancing people’s lives through innovative solutions in the core business areas of: Medical and Surgical Products, and Scientific and Industrial Solutions.

Prior to joining Olympus in 2016, Jorge spent 26 years with Johnson & Johnson. While at J&J Jorge had roles of increasing responsibilities in Manufacturing Engineering, Operations and Quality. In his last assignment with J&J, he was the WW Director of Operations for the Power Tools Division. Prior to that he was the WW Director of Operations for the Spine Division and a member of the Executive Team of DePuy Synthes Spine. Responsibilities included end to end Supply Chain and Field Asset Management.

Jorge began his career at J&J as a manufacturing operator for orthopedic implants and progressed through different roles in operations and quality until eventually being named as the Worldwide Director of Operations, and member management board, for the Spine Franchise.

Jorge is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth with a Bachelor of Science in business and an MBA with concentration in Operations Management.

Karen Smith

As President of Olympus Scientific Solutions Americas (OSSA), Karen Smith is focused on supporting the employees and functions of USA and Canada operations. OSSA designs and manufactures innovative test and measurement instrumentation for ultrasound, eddy current, and X-ray fluorescence technology.

Karen began her career in the nondestructive testing (NDT) industry in 1987 at Panametrics in Waltham, MA where she focused on ultrasound instrumentation and applications for NDT. She became part of the Olympus team in 2005 through the acquisition of R/D Tech. Since then, Karen has held several positions in the Scientific Solutions Division, including leading Global Sales, VP of Manufacturing and Operations, and VP of Strategy and Marketing.

Karen earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Union College and holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Clark University.

In her personal time, Karen enjoys downhill skiing, musicals, lake/water activities, biking, and cooking. She resides in Hopkinton, MA with her husband and son. In her professional life, she particularly identifies with Ralph Waldo Emerson’s quote “Do not go where the path may lead. Go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.”

Originally from Albertville, France, Mr. Julien Sauvagnargues performs his current role as President and Regional Representative Officer of Olympus Corporation of the Americas (OCA), overseeing the Company’s activities throughout North and South America from headquarters in Center Valley, PA. He is also a member of the OCA Board of Directors and Executive Committee. Formerly, he was the President of the Scientific Solutions Group (SSG) and Consumer Products Group (CPG).

Julien joined Olympus France in 2006 as a Division Manager for the Microscopy and Industrial Endoscopy Products, later becoming Division Manager of France and Belgium in 2008 for Consumer Products. In 2012, he and his family relocated to the United States after accepting the position of Vice President of Sales of North America for Olympus Imaging America Inc. (OIMA). The following year, he was promoted to Group Vice President of Sales & Marketing. Prior to joining Olympus, he served four years as the Sales & Marketing Director at Arjo Wiggins in France.

Julien holds a master’s degree in technology and management from CentraleSupélec, a research institution in France, and a second master’s degree in finance from Edhec Business School.

In his free time, Mr. Sauvagnargues enjoys playing tennis, listening to music and reading.

Randy Clark

Originally from Littleton, Colorado, Mr. Randy Clark serves as President of the Medical Systems Group for Olympus Corporation of the Americas and is based in Westborough, MA. He is also a member of the Board of Directors and Executive Committee for OCA.

Throughout his career, Randy has established a track record of leading businesses that deliver strong growth and commercial excellence while developing talented and highly engaged teams. Catalyst for sustainable and profitable recurring-revenue growth driven by seamless cross-functional execution and relentless focus on customer business transformation. He joined Olympus in 2001 as a Sales Representative and Sales Trainer. He then continued his career at medical device companies Boston Scientific and Karl Storz Endoscopy in Territory Manager roles. In 2005, he returned to Olympus to pursue responsibilities as a Regional Manager. Since then, his responsibilities have expanded, and he has held various Vice President-level sales, marketing, and training roles across many Olympus business units. In 2014, he was promoted to Group Vice President overseeing the ENT, Surgical Endoscopy, Systems Integration, Surgical Energy, Urology and Gynecology business units.

Randy received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration Degree in Marketing from Drake University, where he also was captain of the soccer team. He also holds a Master of Business Administration from Colorado State University and is a graduate of Harvard Business School’s Advanced Management Program.

In his free time, Randy enjoys fitness, water sports and spending time with his wife and daughter exploring the New England area. He believes in the motto from Jim Collins, “When you blend a culture of discipline with an ethic of entrepreneurship, you get a magical alchemy resulting in superior performance.”

Thomas Glavin

Originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Mr. Thomas Glavin works out of Olympus Corporation of the America’s (OCA) headquarters in Center Valley, PA. In his role as General Counsel and strategic business partner to OCA and its executive management, the Board of Directors and business leaders throughout the organization, he is responsible for leading the organization’s legal affairs, and for day-to-day management of the Law department. This includes setting legal policy, and developing a high-functioning and experienced team of attorneys, other legal professionals and staff who provide legal advice to the organization regarding domestic and international matters. Those matters include commercial transactions, litigation, labor & employment, Anti-Kickback and Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, international trade regulations, Anti-Competition laws, FDA Regulatory, and healthcare law matters. He is a member of the Executive Committee for OCA. He is also charged with liaising with the global Legal leadership team to enable business growth and advance legal support for the global corporation.

Prior to joining Olympus in 2016, Tom spent 10 years with Shire (now Takeda) as Vice President and Compliance Officer for the Americas. He was responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and management of the corporate compliance program in the U.S., Canada, and Latin America. Before Shire, Tom served in Compliance and Legal roles at Sanofi-Aventis (now Sanofi). He began his career in private law practices located in Pittsburgh and Philadelphia, PA.

Tom received a law degree from the James E. Beasley School of Law at Temple University Law School in Philadelphia, PA, and a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Villanova University in Villanova, PA.

In his free time, Tom enjoys reading, traveling, being outdoors and spending time with his family, including yelling at the TV while watching all Philadelphia Sports teams with his three sons.

As Chief Compliance Officer for Olympus Corporation of the Americas (OCA), Christine Gordon partners with key stakeholders at all levels of the organization to advance company goals and strategies while ensuring business activities abide by OCA’s policies and procedures as well as applicable laws and regulations. Christine is also a member of the OCA Executive Committee.

Christine joined Olympus in November 2010 after spending seven years in public service as an Assistant District Attorney in the City of Philadelphia. She was a key leader in developing OCA's Compliance program across all business groups in the Americas. She is a member of the Olympus Global Compliance Leadership Team and is passionate about Olympus’ Diversity & Inclusion initiatives.

Christine earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Lehigh University, holds a law degree from Villanova University, and is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar.

Christine lives in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania with her husband and three children. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and extended family, attending her children’s sporting events, crocheting, listening to music, and being outside in warm weather.

Adrian Marsh

Mr. Adrian Marsh currently serves as the Head of Corporate for Olympus Corporation of the Americas (OCA) and is based in Center Valley, PA. He is also a member of the Executive Committee. Prior to his tenure as the Head of Corporate, Adrian was the company’s Vice President of Information Technology for 7 years.

In his current role, with responsibility for IT, Supply Chain, Operations, Risk Management, Security, Project Management and the company’s Transformation Office, he strategically supports initiatives that contribute to the company’s efficiency and thus to its sustainable growth. Furthermore, he directs the design, development, implementation and maintenance of solutions to meet the management needs of the company, with a focus on driving efficiency through the provided solutions.

During his 21-year tenure with Olympus, Adrian has held various roles of increasing responsibility within Finance & Accounting, Sales & Marketing, Commercial Operations, Corporate Management, and Information Technology, working within the Americas and EMEA region. He is a qualified accountant and a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and holds a Masters in Professional Accountancy (MSc) from the University of London, England. Prior to joining Olympus, he held a number of roles with responsibility in finance and accounting, primarily within the Financial Services industry.

In his personal time, Adrian is an avid skier, tennis player and pianist. He lives close to our Center Valley, PA Headquarters with his wife and daughter.

Lisa Kerr

Regional Chief Financial Officer,

As Regional Chief Financial Officer, Mrs. Lisa Kerr oversees the holistic financial activity of Olympus Corporation of the Americas’ businesses, entities and corporate functions. Lisa is also a member of the OCA Executive Committee.

Formerly the Vice President of Finance for Olympus Surgical Technologies America (OSTA) and Olympus Scientific Solutions America (OSSA), Lisa provided financial leadership for R&D and Manufacturing entities in the Americas controlling medical device and industrial/scientific product lines. She joined the company in 2004, initially working for ACMI, and became an Olympus employee with the acquisition of Gyrus ACMI in 2008. Previously, Lisa worked in various financial roles including auditing, financial planning, and accounting for KPMG, ITT Corporation and Staples, Inc. She has a B.S. in Accounting from Gannon University, and holds her CPA in the state of Ohio.

Lisa lives in Whitinsville, MA with her husband and three children. In her free time, she enjoys renovating old homes, cooking, reading, knitting socks, hiking with her two Labrador retrievers, and camping.

Arnold Huang
Arnold Huang, PhD, MBA

As President of our Scientific Solutions Group, Arnold Huang oversees the core businesses responsible for nondestructive testing equipment, analytical instruments, and remote visual inspection tools as well as industrial, clinical, educational, and research microscopes. He is also a member of the Executive Committee for OCA.

Arnold has over twenty years of experience in the healthcare, life sciences, and diagnostics industries. He joined Olympus in 2017 as Vice President, Business Operations. In that role, he was responsible for the strategic direction, management, and achievement of goals for the operational support of sales and marketing within the Scientific Solutions business.

Prior to the Company, he served as the Marketing Operations Leader at GE Healthcare Life Sciences, where he led the organizational and cultural transformation in marketing. He also held leadership positions at Thermo Fisher Scientific, where most of his experience focused on M&A, business development, and sales and marketing strategies that have driven significant growth.

Arnold holds a Ph.D. from the University of Kentucky and an MBA from the Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University.

He is married with two sons and enjoys spending time with his family playing golf and tennis, skiing, and being outdoors.
