Rotational Development Program

In addition to our various full-time roles, we also offer a rotational program for individuals who have already completed their degree.

The Olympus Corporation of the Americas (OCA) Rotational Development Program is a 24-month program, consisting of three 8-month rotations, designed to develop and train early talent through targeted rotational assignments and learning opportunities in one of our many business units and functions.

Recruitment for the Rotational Development Program roles typically begins in late fall / early winter.

Program Requirements:

  • Completed Undergraduate degree. Requirements regarding degree major/discipline will vary by individual position and will be specified in the job description.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Additional requirements may vary by individual position.
  • Open to travel / future relocation. (As a global medtech company, Olympus has a number of locations across the U.S. and internationally. Upon completion of the 2-year rotational program, participants may be required to relocate to another Olympus office for their full-time placement, based upon business need. Therefore, preference will be given to candidates who are open to future relocation.)

FAQs

Does Olympus recruit or interview on campus?

Olympus occasionally recruits through various on-campus and off-campus activities at some of our university partners. Please check with your school career services team for information on campus-specific events.

I found a position that I’m interested in posted on my school’s Career Services website. Can I apply through my school instead of your website?

No. If you apply only through your school, we will not receive your application. You MUST apply through Olympus’ website, careers.olympusamerica.com

Should I include a cover letter/transcript/writing sample/references/other when I send in my resume?

Just a cover letter! We encourage you to use your cover letter to provide us with insight into your interest in and qualifications for the position to which you are applying. Beyond that, you should not submit any other supporting documents. Depending on a candidate's qualifications, additional documents such as a writing sample and transcript may be requested of those applicants who advance further in the interview process.

What is the application deadline?

Applications are reviewed as they are received. We recommend current students looking for positions after graduation should start applying to jobs when you are in your final semester. Unless otherwise noted, positions posted are immediate openings, and hiring managers will be looking to start their new employee within a few months of posting.

I see a position labeled “Evergreen Requisition.” What does that mean?

An Evergreen Requisition is an advertisement for positions that Olympus hires for throughout the year. It is a way for Olympus to build a database of qualified, interested individuals for a particular job function so that when there is a need to fill that type of role, the hiring process will be faster. By applying to an Evergreen Requisition, you are expressing your interest for a particular job function within the Olympus family of companies. In addition to submitting your resume to an Evergreen Requisition, we encourage you to create a job search agent to be alerted when positions in your areas of interest become available.

I’ve submitted an application. How do I check the status?

Keep your login handy! You can log in to check the status of your application at any time. We will reach out to you if we need more information, or to schedule next steps.

Does Olympus provide Tuition Reimbursement for individuals to pursue graduate degrees?

Yes! Continuing education is encouraged and valued at Olympus, and we do have a tuition reimbursement program available to all full time employees.

What opportunities does Olympus offer for continued training and growth?

Employees are always encouraged to continue training and growth. Olympus offers opportunities such as in-house training programs and professional development sessions, networking and development opportunities through our Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), and tuition reimbursement for continuing education.
